Carlo DaVia

I am an alumnus of UCLA, having graduated with a B.S. in Physics and B.A. in Philosophy. I then received my Ph.D. in Philosophy and M.A. in Classics, both from Fordham University.

My teaching and research are motivated above all by a concern for (i) how we should inquire into such questions, and (ii) how our answers can help us live better. For insight into these issues, I draw primarily upon ancient philosophy and the phenomenological tradition it has heavily influenced. I am also, and relatedly, interested in hermeneutic theory.
