Elizabeth Tsang’s research explores cross-cultural interactions between the Roman Empire and Han Dynasty China, with particular focus on diplomatic and economic exchanges in the second century CE. Beyond her immediate research, she is interested in Greek drama and the reception of classical texts in later cultures.
She earned her M.A. in Classics from the CUNY Graduate Center, where her thesis examined non-military relations between Rome and Han China. She previously completed a post-baccalaureate program in Classical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and received her B.A. in Classics from Hofstra University.
