Since 2018, Robert Gurval, associate professor emeritus in the UCLA Department of Classics, has taught a course and led walking tours on UCLA’s early history and architecture.
As we celebrate the UCLA College’s 100th birthday, he invites us all to explore some of the little-known historical treasures hiding in plain sight on the campus we call home — as beloved today to the College’s students, faculty and staff as it was a century ago.
UCLA College Magazine has posted a video of Prof. Gurval highlighting some of his favorite sites and stories from the early years of Westwood.
You’ll find this insightful video here at UCLA College Magazine’s site.
