We are delighted to announce that Kathryn Morgan has been named the Joan Palevsky Chair in Classics.
We are extremely grateful to Joan Palevsky for the generosity and vision she has extended to the department in endowing this chair. In addition to supporting the department through the Joan Palevsky Chair in Classics, we continue to benefit from her generosity in several other meaningful and lasting ways, including the Helen Caldwell Awards and Prizes for undergraduate students, the Palevsky Annual Department Lecture, and the Joan Paelvevsky Graduate Fellowship.
Professor Morgan’s appointment to this endowed chair is a special honor, in recognition of her achievements as a distinguished scholar and teacher. We will host an inaugural lecture to celebrate this appointment in the Fall. In the meantime, please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved appointment!
