The Department is proud to announce the promotion of Ella Haselswerdt to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure.
Professor Haselswerdt joined the department in 2020 and currently serves as the Co-Director of Graduate Studies. She teaches classes in Greek language and Greek culture and has published widely on tragedy, archaic Greek poetry, and queer studies. Her book, Thinking with Tragic Chorality: Lyricism, Affect, and Anachrony in Greek Tragedy, is forthcoming from Oxford University Press in February 2027.
